Partnership Collaboration and Networking

As Taa Arts, we endeavour to build a strong network of creatives through our programs. We have also reached out to art institutions, individual artists and collectives, as well as organizations that support the arts, to build a stronger yet versatile artistic community. We hope to establish mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships that enrich the creative sector through capacity development, funding, and collaboration.

In 2025, we’re proud to have collaborated with Light Up Impact and staged a powerful performance at the opening of Light Up Impact Days Conference at Argyle Grand Hotel, Nairobi. The conference, themed “Let Youth Lead brought together Lightup Impact members, local organizations, and key partners who culminated an audience of about 200 young leaders to foster collaboration and create lasting solutions. At the Creative Lab, we brought both the performing arts and visual arts elements.

DANCING WORDS: PERFORMING FOR CHANGE

In November 2025, we had the honor of collaborating with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) through a powerful 1-hour dance performance fused with readings from the Italian author named Sibilla Aleramo.

The performance was a part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence.

Dancing Words: Performing for Change saw the narration of a powerful yet emotional story of a young woman, “Una Donna,” navigate through the emotional, physical, and psychological turmoil of Gender Based Violence and emerge stronger and bolder in her choices and her desire to live beyond her challenges.

The 4 young artists from Mombasa culminated their residency program with their latest performance and showcase, Dancing Words: Performing for Change, held on 29th November 2025 at Sarakasi Dome.
